As I said in the last post my partner and web expert Tim Linden has left with the domain RIPhoto. Hence, I spent the last several days trying to get everything set back up here, with one major hurdle being the front page slie show. I apologize that it is still not working, as of right now I am taking some time to try and familiarize myself a little more with PHP and other some other scripts so I can hopefully get this thing working again, and gradually make some of the design changes and upgrades that I have been really wanting to change for a while now.

So contact us and let me know what you think and what you would like to see here in terms of site design. Also, if you are experiencing any functionality problems let me know right away, so I can get it fixed ASAP. Also if anyone out there is skilled in web programing and could help please let me know, as I could really use some help right now.

If you have read our about page you would have seen that Tim Linden left RIPhoto on July 27th of this year, however this morning he decided that I should leave RIPhoto instead, and offered me RIfoto as a consolation and assisted 0in helping get set back up here. Unfortunately since we decided at the time that it did not make sense for both of us to back order the site he did; and so I really have no recourse, aside from just continuing on here.

So RIPhoto is still here just please remeber the dash between RI and Photo as it is crucial in getting to this site instead of Tim’s. Also you be able to arrive here in a few days via RIFoto, you will just need to remeber the F instead of the PH. Tim has also agreed to add a link to from his site back here, so hopefully the link will help if you mistakenly go to his site while looking for this one. Thank you to everyone who has followed and supported this site and the photography here, please stay tune as there is much planned for the future.

This year’s air show is coming up fast. As usual, it’s over at Quonset Point. We’ve got photos from previous years setup, and have a new page where we’ll put this years photos!

Rhode Island National Guard Open House and Air Show

There are now pages for Barrington, Block Island, and Chepiwanoxet Wildlife Preserve. The History of Chepiwanoxet I found to be especially interesting, so please go check out the new pages and give us your feed back.

I added a few more lighthouse pages, we are doing pretty well at covering them. Added were: Beavertail Lighthouse, Plum Beach Lighthouse, and Poplar Point Lighthouse. I also added the Jamestown page as Beavertail is located there.

The Warwick page was just created last night. It provides a little background on Warwick and some events along with some POIs (points of interest).

The Wickford page has been updated to include more information about the village, and the events of Wickford.

We are looking for awesome spots to take pictures of Rhode Island, so if you know of any please stop by the suggestions page. The site is growing, but we don’t know of every spot so please let us know! I’ve also added a spot I found near the Point Judith Lighthouse, and I updated the Wickford page.

I updated the welcome page, to give it more text. It was kind of bland and boring. This has a bit more text, and will hopefully describe the goals of RIPhoto.com better than just “Welcome”.
